2016 |
Pierre Larose
A financial planner since 1992, Pierre Larose has
worked in the world of finance since the 1970s. He has been an
independent financial planner and life insurance broker since 1998.
He got his start as an instructor in 1990, with the Association des
intermédiaires en assurance de personnes du Québec (AIAPQ), and
later shared his experience and knowledge as a tutor in the
Personal Financial Planning Certificate program at Université
Laval. He has been an IQPF instructor for over ten years, teaching
courses on life insurance, case studies and the financial planning
process.

2015 |
Michel Lavoie
Michel Lavoie is a certified professional
accountant with a Master’s degree in Taxation from the Université
de Sherbrooke. In 1995, he launched his own tax and financial
planning consulting firm. His main areas of expertise are corporate
taxation, business succession and estate settlement. In addition to
his consulting activities, he often serves as a speaker,
facilitator, columnist and expert for a variety of stakeholders in
the field of finance. His interest in the profession inspired him
to get involved with the IQPF by developing case studies and
courses for financial planners.

2014 |
Fabien Champagne
A notary by training, Maître Champagne has been a financial
planner since 1992 and has been involved with the IQPF for many
years. He is the co-author of the Legal Aspects and Succession
module in the Collection de l’IQPF, and has served as an instructor
frequently, in both the professional training program and
professional development courses. He has also served as a member of
the IQPF examination validation committee. For over 10 years, he
has been a mentor in the field of legal aspects and
succession.

2013 |
Natalie Hotte
A financial planner since 1997, Natalie Hotte works as
senior consultant, taxation, for National Bank Private Wealth 1859.
She served on the IQPF Board of Directors from 1999 to
2007, where she is now serving as a tax mentor with her
colleague Sylvain Chartier. She has given many seminars,
lectures and courses on various tax and financial planning topics,
and published several articles in specialized journals. She is
involved with the Association de planification fiscale et
financière and is a member of the Canadian Tax Foundation and
the Canadian Pensions and Benefits Institute.

2012 |
Gilles Garon
A financial planner since 1994, Gilles Garon is the principal
owner of a financial services firm in the Desjardins Financial
Security SFL Partenaire network. Shortly after earning his
financial planner diploma, he got involved with the IQPF, sitting
on the board of directors from 1997 to 2000. His innovative mind
was instrumental in the development of the integrated financial
planning approach advocated by the IQPF.

Thérèse Quirion
Thérèse Quirion works for Investors Group. She has been a
Financial Planner since 1997, and a regional delegate for the IQPF
for just as long. She is very involved in voluntary work,
organizing fund raisers to help children in elementary school and
sitting on the board of directors of an organization that assists
people back into work.

2010 |
Robert McLaughlin
Robert McLaughlin served on the Board of Directors and the
executive committee, and he chaired the IQPF pedagogical committee,
but it is above all for his role as an instructor that he received
the title of Honorary Member. He dedicates his time to
education not only through the IQPF, where he provides both
professional education and professional development activities, but
also at the Université de Sherbrooke and the Université du Québec à
Montréal, where he is a lecturer.

2009 |
Daniel Laverdière
The title of Honorary Member was bestowed on Daniel
Laverdière in recognition for his generous contribution to
financial planning. He has served as a member of the Board of
Directors and on numerous committees, he has worked as an
instructor, and he has authored the Finance column in La
Cible magazine since 2003, to name just a few of the roles he
has played within the IQPF. In addition to his involvement in the
Institut, his expertise is also frequently in demand in the
media.

2008 |
Henri Gagnon
Practising CA and F.Pl. Henri Gagnon is the Chair of the IQPF
mentors’ committee and he has also served as a member of the Board.
He has worked closely on preparing the financial planner diploma
exams and has developed several professional development tools,
including the Collection de l'IQPF and the Professional
Standards. He was named Honorary Member in acknowledgement for his
involvement in the creation of professional development tools that
establish the professional competencies of financial planners.

2007 |
Guy
Jasmin
Guy Jasmin earned his financial planner diploma in 1993, when he
was already in retirement. He immediately got involved in the IQPF,
sitting on the Board of Directors from 1994 to 1997 and on the
executive committee from 1995 to 1997. Throughout this period he
also contributed to several committees. From fall 1996 to fall
1997, he served as interim executive director. Mr. Jasmin was
named Honorary Member for his contribution to the expansion
and development of the IQPF and financial planning.

Jean-Guy
Grenier
Jean-Guy Grenier was one of the first 25 IQPF directors and then
agreed to become the first executive director, for an 18-month
term. As such, he was one of the principal architects of the IQPF’s
current pedagogical approach. The honorary title of Honorary
Member was granted to him in recognition for the role he played in
the creation of the Institut and for his contribution to the
profession of financial planner.
